How Do We Rank It?

passportreports.com ranks passports by their Mobility Score. The Mobility Score represents the total number of countries that can be entered visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or with an electronic travel authorization. If Mobility Scores are equal, the number of countries accessible without a visa is considered first. If that number is also equal, the number of countries accessible with an electronic travel authorization is considered. If the tie remains, the number of countries accessible with a visa on arrival is considered. If all values are equal, the countries share the same rank. Review the algorithm used in our methodology.

Understand the Global Passport Ranking Through a Transparent Algorithm

passportreports.com is an independent global mobility platform designed to explain passport strength in a practical and transparent way. Instead of reducing each passport to a single ranking number, the site separates visa-free access, visa on arrival, electronic travel authorization and destinations that still require a visa in advance. This gives users a clearer view of what a passport actually offers in real travel conditions.

The methodology used by passportreports.com evaluates countries under the same framework. Its Mobility Score brings together the main forms of simplified travel access, including visa-free entry, visa on arrival and electronic travel authorization. This makes the analysis broader than a simple count of visa-free destinations. Users can see where a passport performs strongly, where access is conditional and where a traditional visa process is still required.

passportreports.com is also structured to track passport strength over time. Historical score and global ranking views help users understand whether a passport is gaining mobility power, losing ground or remaining stable across different years. With multilingual country reports, regional rankings, thematic lists and a regularly updated data structure, passportreports.com turns passport data into a readable, searchable and comparable reference for travelers, researchers, journalists, investors and institutional users.
